Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services (CCFES) has received Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) for meeting the criteria established through CFAI’s voluntary self-assessment and accreditation program.

Consider proposed resolution opposing House Bill 517 and Senate Bill 188, opposing limitations on a county's authority to make housing, land use, and zoning decisions.
Consider adopting a 90-day moratorium on Tobacco, Electronic Cigarette, and Other Smoking Supplies Retailers under NAICS Codes 453991 and 459991.
Consider approval of Work Session, Executive Session and Regular Meeting Minutes from February 21, 2023.
PUBLIC HEARING
Conduct a Public Hearing to receive comments from the public regarding the abandonment of a portion of Linden Lane, located in the VCCI community.

PLANNING AND ZONING
Consider request to rezone 2.31 +/- acres from R-80 to LI at 126 Green Circle for industrial uses. (Planning Commission tabled this case for 30 days at the January 10, 2023 Public Hearing for the applicant to revise the site plan to address entrance, lighting and consider potential water run-off issues.)
Consider the annexation case from City of Woodstock for 1.71 acres to be rezoned from R-40 to OSI, Parkway Overlay.
Consider the annexation case from the City of Nelson for approximately 54 acres to be rezoned from AG/R-40 to Light Industrial.
CONSENT AGENDA
Consider authorizing a Budget Amendment in the amount of $19,149.00 to accept the annual State grant funds on behalf of the Fire and Emergency Services Department for the EMS Trauma Grant.
Call for a Public Hearing to be held on March 21, 2023, for an Exceptional Variance request by Ark Family Church to design standards from the Bells Ferry Community Design District.
Call for a Public Hearing to be held on March 21, 2023 to receive comments from the community on a proposed change to the Zoning Ordinance regarding the use of ATVs.
Consider adoption of updated Cherokee County Title VI Plan establishing compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
COUNTY MANAGER
Consider approving the Marshal's Office and Public Safety EOL Network Switch Replacement in the total amount of $86,2887.83.
Consider approving the Justice Center and Public Safety UPS Replacements in the total amount of $34,700.00.
Consider approval to transmit DHS FY24 contract application in the amount of $410,000.00 with a maximum County match in the amount of $2,605.29 to renew DHS funded service and authorize the Chairman to execute the agreement if accepted by DHS.
Consider approval to accept the FTA’s 5311 Rural Assistance Program from Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contract for FY2024 consisting of federal operating funds of 50% in the amount of $227,500.00 and a local match of 50% in the amount of $227,500.00. Also includes Capital funding in the amount of $257,136.00 and a 10% local match in the amount of $25,713.60.
Consider approving the purchase and installation of emergency light packages and consoles for five (5) Chevrolet Tahoes from the low bidder, Dana Safety Supply in the amount of $74,847.00 for Fire & Emergency Services.
Consider approving the purchase of Extrication Tools for Fire & Emergency Services from Georgia Fire in the amount of $123,033.00.
Consider approval for the purchase of three Ford F-250 utility body trucks at a cost of $51,288.96 each, for a total amount of $153,866.88 for Property Management.
Consider approval of a proposal from Calco Engineering, LLC, to perform design engineering for the Stell Road Improvement Project under the annual engineering consulting services contract in the amount of $110,000.00.
Consider an adjustment in the rates currently charged by Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services for ambulance transports.
Consider adoption of revised fees currently charged by the Cherokee County Department of Environmental Health.
